Ping i15 Driver VS Ping K15 Driver

Due to my swing speed i was told to use an extra stiff shaft. unfortunately only a few drivers come with such. so eventually i tried this driver, i’m using an 8 degree extra-stiff. every other driver i used before feels like a toy to this. the quality is superb and it allows me to play around my weak spot, the short game, by simply driving the green every time

The fade-biased design of the PING i15 Driver meets the needs of golfers who place a high priority on working their tee shots. The traditional pear -shaped 460cc titanium head is engineered with a bulge crown design and deeper face to optimize energy transfer for greater ball speed and the solid feel preferred by better golfers. Internal weighting reduces spin and the hosel is positioned slightly back from the face to help promote tour-preferred trajectories and control. Its titanium carbon finish provides a sleek and optically pleasing appearance.

But when the Englishman Lee Westwood dropped to No. 2 from No. 1, switching places with Martin Kaymer of Germany after 17 weeks atop the rankings, it may have also been the precursor to a tectonic shift in the game.

The Ping K15 Driver has an elongated head design that combines with an external weight pad to position the center of gravity for higher launching and longer carry drives. It is engineered with Straight Flight Technology (SFT) which promotes natural club head rotation by concentrating approximately 10% of the head mass towards the heel. A larger face increases forgiveness and ball velocity for greater distance and accuracy.

You know, if you don’t play well, which I haven’t started off this year very good, you know, by high standards, which you have to have when you are No. 1 in the world, then you deserve to drop down. But I’m not too worried about that. I’m never too fast out of the blocks at the beginning of the year, so just one of those things. That’s how I am.”

It is a great club. I hit it 20 yards farther then my prior driver. Admittedly, my old club was very old technology. This club looks great and is very forgiving. It took a little bit to get used to the new sound from a thinner face, but the results were awesome.

Review on Hot Ping K15 Fairway Wood

The Ping K15 Fairway Wood has an elongated head design that increases the moment of inertia by 25%. Together with an external weight pad, this new design ensures natural club head rotation to improve accuracy and distance. The low profile design lowers the center of gravity for improved performance while inspiring confidence to launch the ball higher.

Now these clubs are pretty much the same length as anything else out there. You sure can’t complain about that. None of the big boys are putting out anything that is significantly longer in any way shape or form. My personal fairway wood is longer, but it is a custom built job that runs for a heck of a lot more than the 9 you’ll pony up for this one. Where these clubs will gain distance for most players is through their amazing forgiveness, and easy to hit lofts. The 3 is 16* the 5 is 19*, and the 7 wood is 22*. That makes the 3 and 5 a full degree weaker than standard issue, and that translates into an easier time of getting the ball airborne for most folks. This is especially true when combined with the wider face, higher MOI, and lower center of gravity.

The K15 fairway wood has been designed with a low profile that offers both a pleasing look at address and a larger hitting surface for extra forgiveness, clean contact and a higher trajectory.

The Ping K15 fairway wood included the TFC 149F graphite shaft that uses lightweight materials and offers progressive weight, flex and torsion profiles. This increases clubhead speed to promote maximum distance and superior control, consistency and feel.

PING G15 Driver Is Right Now Being Discounted

The G15 driver is engineered for golfers seeking
a maximum forgiveness driver that delivers distance and accuracy. Its 460cc titanium head is longer front to back and features PING’s patented ultra thin crown technology. Weight savings from the thin crown are positioned as an external sole weight to optimize the center of gravity for higher trajectories and reduced spin.

While MP irons will always win a beauty contest, with their sleek profiles and shiny forged heads giving them plenty of shelf appeal, the Ping G 15 is also a nice-looking club. It will appeal to good ball strikers who like to look down on a reasonably slim profile and top line at address and prefer a clubhead that frames the ball neatly, rather than dominating it. The cosmetics are understated, with no flashy markings other than the muted black weight pockets in the cavity, which are not visible at address. The clubs are available with a satin double nickel chrome finish, plated for added durability.

?The cambered sole cuts through the turf with ease and the clubhead delivers a pleasingly high trajectory, with plenty of forward momentum. The lofts are slightly stronger than standard, so you have to temper your excitement and anticipation of newly-found power, with the knowledge that you’ve got a few less degrees in your hands (the 6-iron has a loft of just 29 degrees). I found the feel exceptionally solid from within a few millimetres of the centre of the clubhead.

A larger face is designed to increase
ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface. The new PING-designed TFC 149D high balance point shaft allows for a five gram increase in head mass (without increasing swing weight or overall weight) which results in higher ball speeds and an increased moment of inertia.

Ping Rapture V2 Irons VS Ping G15 Irons

The Ping Rapture V2 irons leverage the multi-metal technology to not only launch the ball longer, but also higher and with more accuracy. Now you can hit those soaring iron approach shots that go high and long and yet land softly on the green. If you are sick of missing greens or facing those monster birdie putts, the Rapture V2 irons will quickly solve that problem.

Personal Views on the Ping Rapture V2 Irons

Here are a few comments golfer have made concerning the Rapture V2 irons:

“These clubs are have the largest sweet spot of any irons I’ve ever hit. “

“ball flight is high and straight. “

“It’s almost impossible to mis-hit these irons. “

“The Rapture V2 irons are fantastic clubs. “

“The topline is a little thick looking, but not nearly as clunky as hybrid irons. Once you hit them, though, you feel like a player. Awesome.”

“Everyone always says, ‘swing easy.’ These are the first clubs I could actually do that and still have the ball rocket off the face. Great clubs.”

ping G15 Irons

Design and Technology
Like its predecessor, the G15 is an oversized iron designed for players seeking maximum forgiveness. However, several changes have been made which PING believes should make the club even more forgiving.

The epicenter of the G15′s technological advances is the new Custom Tuning Port (“CTP”). While the G10 had a CTP, PING engineers reshaped and repositioned the CTP to save seven grams. The weight savings of a thinner face allowed the engineers move weight to the perimeter – particularly the toe – to improve forgiveness for off-center hits as well as increase MOI. PING believes that these changes provide the proper structure and support to ensure distance control and solid feel.

Ping G10 Hybrids promote less spin than its big brother

The Ping G10 Hybrids are an all stainless steel wood which is going back to what made the G lineup popular. The Rapture, a composite/titanium hybrid wood did not live up to the hype in my opinion and was very expensive. The first thing you see when you set the G10 down is one, it keeps a fairly classic head shape for a hybrid, a nice black finish with the same half moon alignment graphic on the crown of the head that the G5 hybrids sported. The heads are fairly shallow and a little longer to help launch the ball a little higher and sooner than previous models. So whats the difference? I’ll tell you.

The G10 is basically a better version of the G5. It features a slightly higher MOI, promotes faster ball speed and a lot less spin than its big brother. This equates to not only longer and higher shots, but more forgiving ones as well. The shafts are a nice touch as well, Ping did a nice job making them a little heavier than in the past to keep a smoother tempo and more feel though the swing, and unlike in the driver, they were able to keep the lengths of these clubs fairly standard! They also, like their fairway woods, offer a number of loft options.

When I hit some balls with last month, I will admit, I was impressed. I was able to square it up and the ball just jumped off the face! The ball launches high and really stays airborne for a longer period of time than that of the G5. Working the ball was not very easy with these woods as I was unable to hit a fade with this club.

One of the most popular golf club Ping G15 Driver Review

The Ping G15 driver is engineered for golfers seeking a maximum forgiveness driver that delivers distance and accuracy. Its 460cc titanium head is longer front to back and features PING’s patented ultra thin crown technology. Weight savings from the thin crown are positioned as an external sole weight to optimize the center of gravity for higher trajectories and reduced spin.

A larger face is designed to increase ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface. The new PING-designed TFC 149D high balance point shaft allows for a five gram increase in head mass (without increasing swingweight or overall weight) which results in higher ball speeds and an increased moment of inertia

The G15 driver provides maximum forgiveness with improved distance and accuracy. Golfers of all skill levels can play the G15. Additional weight helps launch trajectory. It is a worthy successor to the popular G10 driver. The i15 is aimed at the better golfer. Its sleek all-black scheme features a lower, piercing trajectory with ability to work the ball.

This club shines in the forgiveness department, although Tatsuro did not notice if there was any new technology in it that actually gave it a clear advantage over others he did find it very forgiving and equal to many game improvement drivers currently on the market. When put through its paces and purposly hit off center he compared it to the Nike SQ except with better feel. That’s a good remark considering that the SQ is a square high MOI driver and the Ping G15 isnt exactly. Tatz also made the comment that the odd shape of the face in his opinion made center line high especially forgiving but toe shots a little less.

Nice Looking Ping Rapture Driver

The Ping Rapture Driver uses carbon composite and titanium in a powerful and forgiving head designed to be easy to hit, long and high flying. Our pro’s stats backed this up and we think this is a fab choice for golfers looking for extra carry, hangtime and distance. The Rapture looks nice too and sounds pure at impact due to acoustic engineering.

Firstly, let’s look at the specification of it.

460cc Titanium-Composite Head – Lightweight, high strength composite has allowed PING engineers to move 20 grams of discretionary weight from the crown and skirt to be repositioned in strategic areas in the head. This has created a high launching, low spinning driver for increased distance and tighter dispersion on shots hit across the entire face.
Patent Pending Web Crown Design – Titanium has been removed from low stress areas of the crown and replaced with lightweight composite. This allows the CG to be positioned for a higher trajectory and lower spin creating maximum distance and a higher MOI for greater control resulting in straighter drives.

Computer Optimized Analysis – Highly advanced computer analysis was conducted on the club during design to ensure increased durability and performance of the entire club head, while also producing an outstanding sound during impact.

Robotic Plasma Weld – Very accurate and consistent welds improve the consistency and durability of the face while saving weight, which is redistributed throughout the club head.

Exceptional Aesthetics – Simple, but eye catching aesthetics make the Rapture Driver appealing to your eye.

Thre Loft Options – Available in 9.0°, 10.5°, and 12.0° loft options that allow you to fit this high performance driver to your game.

New TFX 909D Shaft – Premium graphite shaft designed by PING specifically for the Rapture product line. The shaft utilizes high end lightweight materials which increase club head speed for maximum distance and increase tip and butt stability for better control and feel.

VS Proto 65 Shaft – Premium graphite shaft designed by Aldila promotes a lower ball flight trajectory than the TFC 909D, by producing a lower launch angle with a slightly lower spin rate.

New NTS Grip – This new wrap style grip utilizes a soft rubber compound for enhanced feel, similar to the 703 grip.

The entire Ping Rapture line is a display in what Ping can do when they crack open the technology vault. These clubs are loaded with technology and their price tags reflect it.

The biggest technology in the Rapture has to be the composite “web crown”. Essentially this design removes some of the titanium from the crown of the club so additional weight can be moved within the head. The company has inserted lightweight composite material into this web and it has allowed for an additional 20 grams of discretionary weight. Engineers moved this weight towards the sides and back… helping create both additional MOI and a higher launch angle. The addition of this composite material also helps create a more solid sound… something that a lot of newer drivers lack.

There are a lot of things to like about Ping. Their equipment is of good quality, they offer well thought out designs and their fitting system is second to none. They also don’t bring out new clubs for the sake of bringing out new clubs. Over the past few years most of their drivers have been noticeably better than the previous… the G2 was a lot better than it’s predecessors and the G5 was a noticeable improvement over the G2. The extra technology packed into the Rapture should make it a lot better than the G5… but it’s not.

Ping K15 Driver the Hottest for You

Last year Ping released two new drivers, the i15 for players who like to work the golf ball off the tee and in addition the G15 for players who wanted slightly a lot much more forgiveness along having a higher launch angle for a lot much more distance.

Now, for players who merely wish to cream the golf ball as far and as straight as feasible, the company has released the K15.

When Ping golf club designers and engineers, like Vice President John K. Solheim, decided to produce a new super game-improvement driver, they saw that most of the clubs already within the marketplace have closed faces. That made sense merely simply because many golfers within the marketplace for super game-improvement drivers are slicers.

“But what we thought these players really wanted was to aim at a target and hit the golf ball in that direction,” Solheim said. “So when we created the K15, that’s what we had in mind. Let’s just produce a driver that’s really easy to hit straight.”

The key to making that happen will be Ping’s Straight Flight technologies, which can be essentially a weight positioned near the heel of the golf club which encourages the face to square at impact.

“As you start to golf swing down, the weight would love to rotate the clubhead and close it to square,” said Solheim. “The nice factor can be that the Ping K15 doesn’t have a draw face or a closed head, thus it really doesn’t wish to go past the square position. It really just would like to go back to square and stay there.”

To lower the club’s center of gravity and assist golfers get the golf ball into the air a lot much more effortlessly, the crown of the K15 was made particularly thin. In some areas it is about the width of two business cards.

“We’ve tried other stuff, nevertheless we maintain coming back to the traditional shape that’s been evolving simply because the Ping G2 driver,” Solheim said. “We’ve been fairly efficient with that shape and haven’t seen a big reason to go too far from it.”

Even though the K15 in golf clubs and in addition the G15 are both 460cc heads, the K15 might play bigger. “It’s got a larger profile whenever you look down at it,” Solheim points out. “It’s face is certainly as well larger.”

The K15 drivers are arriving in pro shops now in 9.5 degree, 10.5 degree and 12 degree lofts. They come standard with Ping proprietary TFC 149D graphite shaft for about 0, nevertheless custom shaft options are obtainable.

If you are a woman and think of a golf club for yourself or if you are shopping for a set of clubs for your wife, you might try Lady Ping Golf Clubs.

These golf clubs were designed with women in mind, from the easy grip to the sleek and stylish design.(Ping Rapture V2 Irons) No woman or lady on the golf course should be without their very own set. A man may have made the golf clubs but they are very much the lady golfer choice of clubs.

What does the name mean and what are the colors for?

The Golf Clubs were named for the sound the putter makes when connecting to the golf ball. The Lady Ping Golf Clubs are color coordinated by design to help with the lie angle when putting, it is also a gentle reminder to the lady using the clubs not to hold it past a certain point.

The G2L SERIES

One of the more impressive lines in the Lady Ping Golf Clubs is the G2L series. These clubs range from the G2L Driver to the Fairway Woods, L-Wood, Ping G2L Irons, Ping G2HL Irons, and the Lady Ping Putters.

G2L Driver

The G2L Driver is the perfect Club to help with that handicap, and designed around women who need a little more from their golf clubs.(PING Rapture V2 Driver) The head design being slightly larger makes for an easier hit, while the long loft helps with you sweetspot.

G2 Fairway Woods

Next we have the G2 Fairway Woods; this club is designed to have a larger head and sole width. This actually helps with the sweetspot as well, and allowing for a better hit resulting in a better par.

L-Wood

Then we have the L-Wood; this is designed for the woman whose swing isn’t as fast as they might want. It is made for the long green strokes and has a 26.0-degree loft. Remember the better the swing the farther your golf ball will travel.

Ping G2L Irons

After that, we have the Ping G2L Irons. These Irons are geared toward keeping your center of gravity correct. The weight of these clubs will keep your arms focused and your swing compensated correctly for those higher hits.

Ping G2HL Irons

If you are for more height in your hit and find that using an Iron on the fairway over a wood is what does it for you, then the Ping G2HL Irons are for you. This unique design helps to make those really nice high strokes with a shorter distance involved, they can also cut through the grass and light rough.

Lady Ping Putters

Lady Ping Putters is the last on this list but definitely not the least on the list of the G2L series. (Ping G15 Irons)These very handsome putters are made to fit any type of woman and her swing.

With the Lady Ping golf club series it doesn’t matter if you are a pro or just beginning, this series of clubs it the perfect match to you and your swing.

The Ping Rapture V2 driver represents the culmination of Ping’s development of multi-metal technology that combines the key properties of the materials to maximise the performance of the club. The Rapture V2′s 460 cc head combines a titanium body with external tungsten weight pads that are located at the back of the club, near the heel and toe. The weight pads position the centre of gravity to allow the Ping Rapture V2 to deliver a lower spin and high launch angle together with a higher MOI that improves both distance and accuracy. The head is plasma-welded and it’s taller face has been machined to variable thicknesses to promote increased ball speed and is styled with an aggressively tapered crown featuring the Double-Rapture alignment aid.

Ping launched the original Rapture range in 2006 with the aim of combining a variety of materials to produce the most technologically advanced clubs they could. This proved popular and now Ping has improved these clubs further with the launch of the Rapture V2 range. The Ping Rapture V2 driver has probably undergone the biggest change. Gone is the composite graphite/titanium head in favour of an all titanium head with external tungsten weight pads instead of internal. Compared to the previous version, the head is slightly longer back to front with a higher MOI that improves both distance and accuracy. In our tests the Rpature V2 was a joy to hit and the new titanium head gave a great powerful sound at impact. Even with the increased stability in the head, it was still possible to move the ball left and right easily. If money is no object then this is one of the very best drivers on the market, but the Rapture V2 range does not come cheap and we are not sure this V2 is £100 better than the Ping G10 driver, which is fantastic in its own right.
